We Are Smarter Than Me

Thanks to Slashdot which led me to the Network World’s Community BuzzBlog. It is the announcement of the launch of MIT Center for Collective Intelligence.

How can people and computers be connected so that—collectively—they act more intelligently than any individuals, groups, or computers have ever done before?

They have a launch event on 13th of Oct. I also signed up for We are smarter than me community.
I first heard the notion of Collective IQ from Doug Engelbart about five years ago. According to Doug, the complexity of problems are increasing more rapidly than our ability to solve them. Increasing the collective intelligence is the only way to tackle these problems.

I hope this community spreads and becomes global.
